After getting it all set up, I finally managed to get all the finishing touches done & also got the new, uncut aluminum buffed out!

The truck: 2007 Century Class C-120 S/T with 70" Condo Sleeper, powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 60 with 515 Horsepower, and backed by a Meritor 10-speed. So far, after 140,000 miles it has ran great & proved that detroit FINALLY did their homework on the new EGR engines (the first ones in '03 and '04 were HORRIBLE!).

Opening the door shows that the driver of this truck HATES rubber floors!

It may damn well be a "company truck", but ANY truck looks great with a bit of pride & effort put into it. When a company treats me the way they have & gives me a nice, brand-new truck to drive it's the least I can do.

Thanks!

It may be a stripped-down Crete company truck but I do what I can within reason to keep it a clean & comfortable place to work in. Besides, I feel that keeping a clean, organized cab makes it easier to find stuff when I need it.

I decided to use some Frequent Fueler Points at the Petro in Joplin, MO a few days ago, and surprisingly was able to find some chrome dash gauge bezels for a Freightliner Century in the style I wanted! This photo also shows the Pioneer Inno XM Radio/ MP3 unit I put in the truck earlier in the year. I LOVE that thing!

Jeff, that is nice when they are new. You don't even have a coffee spill in the cup holders, yet! I was never a clean freak about the outside, but the inside was always kept clean within reason. There was always a grocery bag hanging on the passengers seatbelt or arm rest for refuse and it was changed frequently! I hated the occasion mechanic that purposely greased the steering wheel or a door handle because he didn't care! Too often it reflects how management treats their employees by the shape and condition you find their "ride"!

Well, actually I don't drink coffee or sodas anyway- just bottled water or iced tea throughout the day. Those cup holders will hopefully stay that way.

I was a mechanic for many years before I started driving full-time & I will say that many of them do not have respect for drivers or their work environment.

I had some work done on a truck I owned on the road once & saw the mechanic pull a cigarette out of his shirt pocket just before he was about to get in my truck & take it for a road test. I ran over there & said to him "You don't see an ashtray in my cab, do you? Then don't even THINK of lighting up in there!"

When is Crete going to put some aluminum wheels on the rear of their units so you can have a really really shiny truck! :D

Jeff, in the third picture, what is that behind the air tank below the bunk? I can't think what that is or what it is used for!

I wish they would do that, but I'm sure it's one of those "cost-control measures" since Crete buys (not leased from Freightliner) those trucks in such huge quantities all at once like they do.

You mean in this photo?

I'm not sure what you're talking about, as all I see is a shadow from the drivers side step behind that air tank.

OK, that makes sense. I could not understand why there would be a piece of corrugated step rail in that location! Now as a shadow reflection, it is amazing how bright that looks!

The longhorn shift cover you have I had to do a double take when I first noticed it.I thought at first it was the outline of Michael Jordan from Nike of him flying through the air,but then I rubbed my eyes a few times and noticed what it was! :D It would be nice to see a clean ride like you have at the Fergus Truck Show.It definitely fit right in!

Big Dog, if you are going to Fergus, you had better stop & see me @ the Convoy booth. We are sharing it with Joanne from OBAC. We are outdoor's. I'll be there on Saturday all day.
