Why do you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on equipment and then not want the best possible oil to protect that expensive equipment. For about the price of 4 oil changes you can install Amsoil's 400,000 mile oil and filter system.

If you do this you will get at least ½ mile-per-gallon extra fuel mileage if you are currently using petroleum oil. This alone will save you $800.00 in fuel costs each 25,000 miles that you travel. Some of my customers are getting ¾ to 1 mile per gallon switching over the entire truck to Amsoil. They are also using our diesel fuel additive and Cetane boost.

You will also experience more power, easier starts, cleaner running engines and reduced maintenance costs. We now have some trucks that have gone over 1,000,000 miles without changing the pan oil. These engines have experienced little or no maintenance problems during that time. They are either taking oil samples every 20,000 miles and sending them into Amsoil or changing their full flow and bypass filters every 20,000 miles. You can choose whichever is easier for you.

If you use our Series 2000 racing grease on your chassis lube parts, king pins, drivelines, etc., you can go 15,000 miles on your chassis lubes. That will reduce your time in shop expenses and get you back on the road quicker.

Our new bypass EaO filters filter down to less than one micron, so all water and other contaminants are removed from the oil every 40 miles that you drive.

Amsoil has been in business for over 30 years now, and was the first oil company to offer extended drain intervals. We are a privately held company and will not compromise the ingredients on any of our oils. We have the finest oil on the planet and it is and always has been made 100% in the USA. Our oil will also dramatically reduce your emissions, which is good both for our environment and for your smoke tests.

12 gallons of oil, 2 full flow filters, our bypass filter mount and 2 bypass filters in most cases comes out to $530.00. If you have additional filters, it could be slightly higher. That is a very small price to pay for never having to change your pan oil again. Think about it! You will be able to keep your equipment longer. Plus, you will be doing your part to conserve oil and help reduce our dependency on foreign oil.

Hi!

In German automotive press there have been a number of reports over the years of public transit companies saving costs by using micro filters & extending the oilchanges to several 100 000km's, I never read or heard anything negative, mineral oil doesn't go bad just over time, it only becomes contaminated.

What bothers me with this particular product is that the company claims to be a specialist in synthetic oils on their website.
To the best of my knowledge synthetic oils are chemicaly artificially altered against mineral oil & contain very long molecule chains that over time get hacked to pieces in a highly pressurised moving system like an engine & so the oil looses it's special abilities rather quickly, synthetic oils always have a shorter oil change time than mineral oils.

Another point here in North America is oil quality. In Germany I have not in years seen an older engine that was as dirty & plugged up with residue & sludge as I have here on pretty much every older car, engine oil is a good bit cheaper over here than it is in Germany & it seems to me, there might be a reason for it.

This also - aside from the rediculous amount of idling over here - might be the reason why oil change intervalls are less than half over here as they are in Europe, my Volvo supposedly needs an oilchange every 30 000km!!! The supposedly comparable emmission standard Euro2 VED12 had 60 000km initially & later went up to 120 000km, as most of the European trucks, with Euro 4&5 some engines now are down to 90 000km again, but that's still triple of what my 06 VED12E get's over here.

In general I don't se problems with extended oil change intervalls, either without micro filers or greatly extended with them, but only when using high quality mineral oil.

I enjoy the Truckstop Canada forum. But don't you think this is using the website for commercial advertising?
