International transmission

Hi, I have just bought a 1990 International with a five speed auto transmission. Can someone tell me what type of trans fluid it takes and what is the correct procedure for checking the level. ( in neutral engine off, in drive engine running ?? )
Any help would be great as I dont have a book on this truck.

The only automatic i can think of in a heavy duty international is an allison automatic, is that what you have?


not sure what kind of fluid they take.
