......and now unemployed. vancouver island is a tough spot to have a class one for long haul. i really do not want to head up to ft. mc crack for work, so i'd like to slide my idea across a few of you vets. i am a positive person, and i expect to be cautioned with the reality of your experience. however, ya don't know, if ya don't try. i am thinking that i want to be an o/o right off the get go and acquire my driving experience through a compatible team driver with a good abstract and track record. can't see anyone hiring me just out of school with no miles, hauling their precious cargo. and rightly so. i have a great low mileage delux california rig lined up through a retiring friend. i don't have to finance and have run a business before. apparently, getting runs is not the issue. so, my plan would be to advertise and hook up with the right partner, and use his history to acquire a desirable run, thus helping to create a remedy for both of us. so, what are your thoughts, hmmm?
