Antennas

I took my CB out of one truck and put in another .
Both trucks have the same Antennas ( wilson antenna). But the antenna on my truck has the black plastic tip on it . And this truck the black plastic tip is missing.

I know that the antennas are the same height and they have not bin cut for tuning.

My CB is cutting in and out . And i just want to know if the tip is the problem.

Dose the Antenna need the Black plastic tip to work right ???? :10_1_138[1]:

i would consider purchasing a predator 10 k they out perform the wilson trucker antenna's hands down
