Bell is boosting internet speed, via fiber to home connection.

If its like Verison's Fios it will be most excellent. Especially for those of you that have more than 1 computer, download movies and have on-line games on your PS3 or X-Box. I'll buy it as soon as its available here.

bell completely ignores rural areas, i used to have home phone from bell, and they did not even offer highspeed DSL internet, all they offered for internet was dial up! and i could not get DSL or Cable internet from anyone else.

finally i managed to find a company who offers highspeed wireless internet, and i had that until i moved.

now i have highspeed DSL from the same company i had the highspeed wireless from before.

but it just makes me mad that bell does not care about their rural customers, and all they offer is dialup, what a joke, who wants that these days??

My bell story started around 15 years ago when i moved homes and bell gave me a new phone number.

Thing rang 24/7 and ma bell said it could happen, forget the reasons exactly now but something about reusing old numbers that may have had alot of traffic like for biz use.

No sweat, they gave me another except it went like this. It was free but it could happen again and if it did, I would have to pay to change the number!

wtf?!

They give me a problem and I have to pay to fix it?! With no guarantee?!
