OK, so I've made up my mind. I'm getting a new computer. It has Windows 7.

Problem is the all come loaded with Trial Software.

If I take all the junk out, will Windows 7 accept and run OFFICE 2000?

I already own this Version. I bought it for XP. Or do I have to go buy the newer version of the programs.

I need Access, Word, Powerpoint and EXCEL to do files when I'm away from the office. (home and on the road)

Tried a quick google of office 2000 windows 7 and it looks like depending what you use, it might work but it also looks like support is comming to an end soon.

Might consider office 2007 student edition if it has what you need, which used to be ~ 100 bucks for 3 licenses.

I use OpenOffice.org to open and work in the four that you mentioned. The earlier versions of OO were aggravating to me, but their latest version works fine for me. It is user friendly and it's FREE.

I googled the same question before x-mas and came up with the same conclusion. Office 2000 will work, but with issues. I bought the student version of Office 2007 for 70 bucks at Future Shop. I Haven't loaded it on my new puter yet, because my 60 free trial version still works after 120 days.
