The Power To Drive folks are having a FREE information seminar in Cambridge ON. Feb. 16 at the Best Western. They are claiming an earning potential of over 70K per year. No A/Z Ontario, (Class 1 elsewhere) required.
I went to the Power to Drive web site, and it sounds like a typical recruitment song and dance. They will put you in your own truck in 60 days.
They will do the training, and you just have to buy the truck. If you buy it from Select truck, or Harper freightliner, they will give you $3000. Heck they even give you $2000 and a contract. TST (Transforce) is the carrier involved. I may sign up for the seminar just so I can have some entertainment if nothing else. I would like to see the numbers they use to convince a guy that the lease programs are so beneficial, when so many are loosing their trucks.
Is there really that much a shortage of trucks that they have to hold a recruitment seminar? I don't think so. If TST was that great of a carrier, they would have people lined up at the door.
