how many long hauler drivers only work 40 hours a week? it says right in the add "mileage paid" so if thats true, it would make alot more sense to advertise $ per year for X amount of miles

40 hours of driving a week, might be about right, but they are forgetting about all the other hours, loading, unloading, fueling, pretrip, waiting at the border, waiting on dispatch.
Those hours need to be included

CMF emailed a pay package to me a week or so ago and it looks like you get paid IF the situation meets their criteria. Everything 0-2 hours is free, the base rate for a greenhorn is $0.315/mi. and up to $0.37/mi. for a driver with over 1 year experience.

IN the Union I made more money per week than I did at Challenger, and worked about the same in hours. But I was home every night....

Challenger is only paying now 31.5cents a mile for newbies eh? 37 cents for experienced guys? I was making 38 when I was there 2 years ago. Liner, tell your buddy Einwechcter if he wants to keep guys happy, making their money go backwards aint the way to do it....and you wonder why the Teamsters are making noises?

Geezus...clueless bunch out there in Cambridge haven't figured out that job isn't worth what they are paying for it now?

I'm not sure why anyone would leave a union job to go work at CMF for 38 CPM,unless of course that union job disappeared, like most do.

As far as the teamsters making noises its more like a little peep peep now! That big idea has pretty well withered up and died on the vine.Too bad....maybe they can try again in another 10 years.
