My regular Vovlo mechanic mentioned that he has sucessfully removed the EGR valves & setup a bypass for the ECM. The computer thinks the EGR's are in place & working, but in fact they ain't.
He claims the trucks having this done notice dramatic increase in power & fuel economy. Plus the added bonus of not having to spend $5k every 2 yrs replacing the crapping EGR valves.
He hasn't given me a quote yet. I'm starting to get EGR codes flash when ever I climb hills with heavy loads. So i need to do something soon.
Anybody else hear of this?
I should mention I run Alberta only. '04 Volvo VN-670 with 465 VE-D12
