Good news travels fast!!

Well what have we got here. After all the BS from a certain bunch it appears Challengers Dorval drivers have sent the Teamsters packing once again.

Turns out that of the 16 city drivers only 6 voted for the Teamsters,10 said no.

So I guess the "TEAMSTERS ARE NOT IN THE BUILDING"

Adios Teamsters.

Why hasn't the media/any media had anything to do with this. Truck News, Today's trucking have nothing on their web-sites. This was big sh!t when it started and now nothing. Heck, it doesn't even make the "Google News" when you do a search for "teamsters".

Guess it isn't news worthy.

This was sent to me by a friend of mine , thought this was as good a spot as any to post it

I am a union worker. I am not the problem. Teachers, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, road workers etc. are NOT the enemy. If you are jealous of our benefits, FIGHT FOR YOUR OWN, not against ours. The rich who created this crisis are putting middle class families against each other. We live here, pay taxes, work hard & try to support our families too.

Never had that issue at the union gigs I worked for. While it was certainly true that there were some slackers around, most guys took pride in their work and did a good job each and every day.

With all the BS in the trucking industry today I would be RUNNING to join a union and telling everyone around me to sign up too. You truckers sure get the short end of the stick.....

For the record , that's a rumor or a myth , Sure there are some that take advantage of the union or the system but a high majority of union workers do work hard and take pride in what they do for a living . There was a time when I had thought the same but that was before I had worked in a union shop .

Very well said. Even Buzzy, Liner and Junior will approve. The only difference is it's harder for unionized company to get rid of the slackers.

You know what, You're right. Well partially. I'm working in a unionized co and I know some do that sometime. The difference is the meaning of hard work. Let's imagine you get a new job and you're paid to work from 7 to 4. You're doing your best, you get there at 6:30, leave at 4:30, with the best attitude ever and a terrific work ethic, you think you're a good employee.

Then, you're superior ask you to come in his office and say something like the one who had your job before could do all this on top of what you're doing. Now you're considered a slacker.
Then you find out the guy before you was working from 6 to 5, no breaks or very little and still working while having his little sandwich. What would you think of that then.

In those cases I agree, the union have to tell the guy to slow down so you don't look like a lazy guy when you know you're doing a great job.

I'm taking a chance, this post might be deleted
after all it's only MY opinion!

Thats right this BS about slakers is only one of the excuses given by our little league of vaampires protectors.

You know, for a while now we have come up with a bunch of things that are wrong with this industry.

I used examples from one company, because I know them but the crap going on there could easely be applied to others since they all act the same toward drivers.

I brought up examples like managment bunching up on a driver to intimidate them, for any reason, This crap happened way too many times.

refuse a load, and sit in the safety manager and 2 or 3 clowns will give you crap for a while to scare you.
This crap wont work with odler drivers but I have seen many young drivers get scared like that.

Theres a discrimination charges based on age that was filed by one of cmf's driver.
That is clearly not right, and you guys should see what the owner had to say about why these contracts exists.

Those contracts were posted and deleted with a lame excuse, couldve photoshoped it to remove the company's name off and show how realy truckers are treated in this industry.

All this doesnt matter.

We've seen threas locked, deleted hey even a word like vaampire is censored lol what a joke.
that's not too far from censorship huh?
what pizz me the most is all this garbage going on is put asside only to fight against the bad union or is it to protect the cambridge god of trucking and his OTA's friends ?????

It doesnt matter WHY all this garbage happened.

The worse part is that it's not the "defenders" fng business.

most of them dont even work there and if you look at the past posts from those "defenders" they are all saying the same thing, only difference is that they are carefull not to point fingers at the gods of trucking.

Doesnt matter who leaked the results.

But someone tell me,
I heard mr boss was in Dorval all week before the vote, running all over the yard shaking hands, tapping drivers on the back, meeting them one by one, telling them about if they chose to go with union he would have to drop the raise they are suppose to get soon etc.

Where is he now????

I guess he gave back the reign to those who were responsible for this mess in the first place huh?

My question would be ,

"how long before these people get back to their old habit of wasting drivers?"

It's only a matter of time.

MY opinion.

Hey dont have to be in a union for that, I've seen just last week.

Driver I know had an accident and was pizzed the boss didnt even check on him, they had time to send somebody to retreive the truck's computer and get the trailer at a repair shop but no time to see if the driver was ok.

wrote in somewhere on a social site and one of the driver who has his head so far up the boss rear end called the boss to tell him about the complaint this was suppose to be a so call friend.

Now dont tell me that the only place you saw this behavior was with union members...seriously???

I wasnt trying to bust your balls with this just that these days we might need a lawyer to screen what we want to write because we might ruffle some feathers.

Do vaampires have feathers???

Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth here, I find it really funny that when there was all this banter against the companies and those who are against the unions, we all had to shut up and put up with it. Now that the table is some what turned all those who are pro union are up in arms because the other side took the the upper hand for a moment. It seems to me that if you are going to dish it out you better be ready to take it as well. I saw post after post of all sorts of pro union and anti company lies. Now the truth comes out "drivers voted against the union" and we want to keep it under wraps, hide it in a dark recess somewhere and try to pretend it did not happen. Well, the fact and the truth of the matter is simple, it happened! Face it! Accept it! Live with it!

Now I know I risk being banned and gettimg this removed but I will also make one other statement, which is directed at Ratfink as I know this gentleman. Freedom of speach does not give you the right to publicly insult, humiliate and ridicule people because of some personal vendeta and crusade for some imaginary, delusional and wrongly perceived injustice towards you or because someone has an opinion that differs from yours. You call them *******s but your conduct is nothing less than bullying and gestapo tactics. Try taking a good look in the mirror some day you may be shocked at what you see. You talk of respect yet know not what the word means.

this is the 1st time i agree with you. you guys haven't seen nothing yet. the only reason SGT2000 got unionized was because of Robert transport. they came over to the main terminal and set our trailers on fire and shut us down. they wouldnt allow us to do our pick ups of paper at customers in qc untill SGT employees became unionized. you been officially warned by that teamster guy who keeps spraying his pro union propaganda graffiti all over this great websight. this proves the teamsters are nothing more than an extortion raquet designed to help the fat cats in the teamsters head offices while exploiting the hardworking workers who get forced into paying benefits.
