The pair were off duty, celebrating their engagement with friends when there was a ruckus in the bar with drinks getting spilled and words being exchanged. The owners called Waterloo police.

When a Waterloo officer arrived, the bar owner asked to have the intoxicated pair removed from the premises.

The officer, who took a lot of verbal abuse from Sabatini because he’d asked for identification, nevertheless offered to drive the couple to a friend’s home on Anne Street in Cambridge because neither was in any condition to drive. When they got there, the officer noted Sabatini’s car was parked there and left.

Fifteen minutes later, he stopped the same car with Farrell behind the wheel. Farrell was tested and found to have almost three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

They should loose their job. Now that they are guilty of criminal charge.

It remind me a story that happen in Trois-Rivieres Que. many years ago.

4 cops were partying one night and they were pretty drunk. They took off on one of their car and speed over 160kph on Highway 40 going west.

Now for those who doesn't know the area, Highway 40 stop to a end at highway 55. When you're coming from east, there's a 360 turn to go on the highway 55 south. Next to it, there's an exit from highway 55 south going on highway 40 east.

Well the cop never made than turn and went on the path of a car getting off the highway 55. Killed both passengers of the car. All 4 cops were find...

LAst year a cop fropm the west end staTION WAS DRINKING AFTER HIOS SHIFT AND WAS EVEN TOLD not TO DRIVE BY HIS SGT.. WELL THE DUMB PHK DROVE ANYWAYS AND WAS FOUND ASLEEP A FEW BLOACK FROM THE STATION.. HE WAS ARRESTED HE WAS CHARGED AND WAS FOUND GUILTY..but YTOU KNOW THE DRILL POLICE MAN NEEDSA TO HAVE A LIC TO DO HIS JOB CONDITIONAL ETC... ETC... ETC....

So cops can drive drunk, be convicted criminals and still get to be cops. Pretty easy treatment on them. Most civilians who drive for work, would have been fired.

Shamed constables ordered to stay out of trouble

A Hamilton police couple who got into a heap of trouble the night they became engaged have been punished for discreditable conduct with pay and vacation penalties and warned to keep their noses clean.
