The Conservatives platform wasn't all bad, they said they would be fiscally conservative, try for smaller government, get rid of the senate, be transparent, stop the patronage appointments. But instead they have created the biggest deficit in Canadian history, stacked the senate with partisan politicians, taken patronage to a whole new level by essentially circumventing the electoral process and hiring losing conservative candidates to do a MP's job in the riding they lost in at a cost of $135,000/yr, become the most repressive government in Canadian history when it comes to free speech, freedom to strike and now they are proposing creating THIRTY new seats in parliament giving Quebec more despite the fact they have not grown like the places he is proposing giving more seats to.

If this was the liberals, NDP, Green Party or Social Democrats I would be equally miffed. I have called my MP about these issues and and have yet to receive a call back.

It was partly (or mostly) the corruption in the party that got the Liberal's booted and I really think these guys are taking this to a whole new level.

Does anybody else share my outrage with this nonsense?

Thanks to Trudeau who in the day stuck it the west by passing a bill that although population shifts to other regions, that region cannot get more seats for a period of 10 years or so(not sure may be more).
Now like you say EOTR regardless popultion shifts the major A** kissing to quebec does not cease to exist.

WHY because its the baby that never stops crying and govnmt keeps sticking the soother in their mouth.

Que always threatens to separate, and keeps getting all the goodies .

Its the rest of Canada that should tell Ottawa , you know what you can keep Que and we are separating, I would be the first one in alberta to vote YES.

Just take a ride across the so called trans Canada and let me know where you find it nice and where its disgusting. Just remember to make a right turn and then a left @ Moose Jaw then wake up when u hit Rockies....

I think this more than just pacifying Quebec.

What does taking away a persons legal right to strike have to do with Quebec? Air Canada is now claiming the union was not negotiating in good faith but the reality is the government stated they were going to legislate them back to work if they striked. What kind of bargaining position does that put the union in?

What does stacking the senate have to do with Quebec?
