All you Canadian Steering Wheel Holders better have a quick look at the BACK of the TL2 Form (Claim for Meals and Lodgings)

This year a new paragraph was added as allowable deductions.

SHOWERS can be claimed as a deduction. Now I know we all take advantage of the freebies when you fuel, but there are days I don't need fuel but I still need/want a shower.

Keep your receipts if it comes out of your pocket!!!

#2) You can claim the average annual currency exchange rate on the expenses you incured out of the country. The average rate exchange to U.S currency for 2006 was $1.13409360

#3) If you use the meal allowance deduction (simplified method) the rate went UP to $17 per Meal in October / 50% or $8.50 a meal.

EVERYONE should be sending in those postcards to the Finance minister.!!!

They just threw a little smoke screen, read closer and you will find out a lot of drivers have had meal deduction lost altogether or cut to a minimum.
Do you really believe the gov`t would make it better?? I`m sure they could sell beach front property outside Las Vegas to lots of people...
