Charge Air Cooler

Hey people, have a small leak top of charge air cooler, looks like a stone hit it as there is a hole in the front screen as well. Still runs but lost boost as well as mileage is suffering. Any options? Can i get this welded up, or will I have to replace......dang they are pricey.

Because they hold (when they don't leak) upwards of 50 psi welding is really difficult. There's lots of aftermarket CAC's available. Not sure where you're at but you can also check "Detroit Radiator".

If it's only 1 horizontal tube that is damaged you could squeeze it shut with needle nose pliers. The idea is to just seal the ends of that one tube. If it works that would be the cheapest stopgap method
