Oil Shortage

Alot of folks can't understand how we came to have

an oil shortage here in Canada..

Well, there's a very simple answer...

Nobody bothered to check the oil.

~ ~ ~

We didn't know we were getting low.

~ ~ ~


The reason for that is purely geographical:

Manitoba and the NWT now feel slighted as they too have some oil! And Ontario has some too, don't forget that the first oil well in N.America is at Petrolia, Ont. Some of the old wooden jerker assemblies still exist I am told. Backwards Province! And Ontario is also like Colorado in that has an untapped source of oil that is too expensive to exploit, shale oil. It is locked up in a hardened clay type rock that requires an expensive mining and recovery process.
