i posted a couple of posts on the subject but seem a bit disappointed as the lack of advertising for bull haulers in western canada i was searching an australian website the other night regarding immigration as i have a friend who is immigrating to perth western australia lucky bugger he works as an engineer so can go any were in the world now i checked up on the prospects of immigrating as a long haul truck driver i spent a year in australia in the late 80sa backpacking and drove right from perth in wa to adelaide in the south right across the nullabor plain the sight of road trains :yikes: will stay with me for ever as the truckers usually haul 3 trailers all over australia i worked on a couple of remote cattle stations up north around julia creek and katherine memories will be with me for ever the point iam trying to make asalberta canada is wear my heart lies as the moment i stepped of the plane it felt like home and somewere i would quite happy spend the rest of my life covered in cow**** but the lack of advertising for bull hauling jobs on some of these australian websites there offering good salary and benefits for bull haulers all up north australia has a large market to asia big livestock ships leave darwin for asia with live cattle a site for sore eyes if you like your road trains but the job seems to get more publicity than in canada i picked up several truck magazines at several truckstops and didnt see one advertisment for bull haulers just my thoughts

Ya bullhaulers never advertise in trucking magazines. It takes a special driver to haul livestock.

Some companies do advertise in small town weekly newspapers or farming magazines.

If you want to haul cattle in canada, you have to accept, it will be alot of hours, and some days you are expected to run illegal, if you refuse, you won't be working there long!
And you can't usually shut down for bad weather for very long.
