A montreal ,an has been charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of Ontario trucker Donald Woods.
The 35-year-old Woods was found dead in his tractor-trailer in a Pickering parking lot in June. The load he was hauling, about 13,000 kgs of chicken- was missing.
Paul Cyr, 49, of Montreal, was arrested on Friday in Brampton,On. by Durham Region police. They had worked alongside the Montreal police's homicide squad during their investigation.
He is charged with first- degree murder, forcible confinment, using a firearm to commit an indictable offence and theft over $5000.
