Hi All,

Please can you shed some light. I am thinking of a change in direction for my job. Now I live in Kamloops, BC.
Before I shed out the dosh $4000 approx for training what sort of money can I expect to earn ?

I am sure this question has been asked a million times before so, I am sorry if I am asking an old question.
All the jobs I see are for drivers with 2-3 years experience. Well as a new driver how would I get the jobs.

I spoke to one school and they said that there were jobs up inn the oil fields Fort McMurray. Is this good advice ?
I see Bison,VanKam H&R Trucks running through the area all the time. Do these companies pay well ?

So any advice, thoughts or comments are welcome.

Kind regards
Very seldom if ever now; do I see COE on the road. But at the local International dealership this year I did see what I beleive was a double bunk International 9800 COE 2007 - 2009 ? had a flat floor and walk in bunk. I thought these were only built in south Africa.:asking:

I'm a 34 years old guy from Finland and I have european CE-lincence (equals A licence in USA and Canada). I have alltogether 3 years of truck experience with lorriers (not tractor-trailer) as I got my CE-licence at May 2010. I have driven in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Austria.

I have been an o/o for 2 years and done mostly sales jobs during my work history. Earlier, when it was still legal with C-licence, I drove quite a lot of empty combinations (truck and so called full trailer). I have clear criminal record and driving record.

The more I have been thinking of this, the more certain I am that trucking is in my blood. The only moment I feel alive is while driving. That's the thing I want to do. Driving in Europe doesn't feel good due a lot of reasons.

I would like to drive in Canada and USA. What do you think, do I have any chances to get employed with my background. As you might guess, I have strong motivation and I'm quick learner. I have a good job here, but it's not driving and I cannot fool myself to like this or any other non-driving job anymore.

Thank you for all the tips and suggestions you think might be of any help!
