Thread: Freezing rain

    Default Freezing rain

Western Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan got heavy freezing rain yesterday. Highways are messy. Temperatures plummeted to minus double digits.

Lots of vehicles in the ditch. Semi hauling lumber on its side west of Theodore, SK. This one was near Russell, MB. Sorry for pic quality.

That freezing rain is a biatch. I remember running the Yellowhead between Blue River and Valemont night after night with a single on the steer axle, the drivers all chained, and a single on the trailer. If the snowplow guys hadn't left a windrow at the edge of the road there would have been a lot more folk in the ditches.
Crime wouldn't pay if the government ran it.
