Thread: Shiny Side Up

    Default Shiny Side Up

So for those of you that have been here a while will remember that I used to be very active on this forum and then disappeared for over 3 years. I returned in November 2017.

I had some major issues in my life and had to turn it around. Itís a very long story and Iíve decided to blog about it. Iím also in the process of writing a book, but thatís far in the future. The blog is now.

Go in with an open mind. I now call myself a Christian trucker and my blog is the story of my redemption.

Respectful comments are welcome and encouraged.

Welcome back..... I'll check out your blog... Hopefully it doesn't have too much fiction (religion) involved or I won't be able to get through it.

Sorry you feel that way about ďfictionĒ. I used to feel the same way, but life has a way of setting you straight.

Iím not being preachy, just going to share my life experiences. There may be religion involved, it is s big part of my life now.

Come to think of it, why does truckstopcanada have a politics forum, for political debate, but no forums for the other taboo subjects: religion and sex?

No response? Donít need one for sex (enough websites for that &#129315 but religion would be good.

Iím surprised that the politics forum isnít more active considering the mood of the people.

There are plenty of other forums that focus on those topics. The fact that our members don't comment on political topics kind of sums it up for me.

I visit a computer related forum and 90% of the posts there are about the politics in AB, BC, ON, Trump and SockBoy. It's not all good though because the polar opposite opinions tend to breed some animosity especially when people cannot or do not verify their facts. Lots of personal attacks and name calling causing some people to give up and leave.

Debate and discussion are good but it appears the internet allows many people to act like bullies.

"Social media is the spawn of the devil". How is that for a religious statement?
    Cheers

One of the good things about living in a small community is when I don't know what I'm doing, someone else does.
